Juniors

Junior level classes at Huntington Dance Theatre are designed for students that are in upper elementary and middle school. Classes have no prerequisite and guide students in learning the elements of dance, including manipulating and responding to space, time, and energy of movement. Students are guided into mastering skills such as maintaining concentration, responding constructively, and setting performance goals. Students will dance with a variety of other dancers and remember dance routines from memory both in the studio and on the stage.
- Available classes include ballet, jazz, a musical theatre and tap combo, hip hop, conditioning, and prepointe and meet on weeknights.
- Students will either wear royal blue leotards and pink/fleshtone tights and ballet slippers or white tops and black leggings/dance shorts.
- At least two performance opportunities: The Huntington Nutcracker and the Spring Recital. There are often other community outreach performance opportunities, too!
