Dominique Neff, of Huntington, WV, began her training with Huntington Dance Theatre. She went on to attend summer programs with Burklyn Ballet Theater, BodyTraffic, and SALT Contemporary Dance Company. She graduated with her B.F.A. in Ballet Performance Magna Cum Laude from University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music, also receiving the prestigious Suzanne Farrell Achievement Award in 2017. During her time there, she performed as a freelance artist with The Dayton Ballet and at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. Some of her favorite performance experiences have been as principal dancer in Valse Fantasie and Sarah Tallman’s Look for America. She went on to dance with Columbus Dance Theatre and Wonderbound, particularly enjoying roles as the Sister in Our Town, The Sandman, and Son of Man. After retiring, she moved on to a career in software development where she now works with Starz as the Director of Product Management in their content supply chain organization.
In retrospect, her time at Huntington Dance Theatre and the amazing staff and friends she made there shaped her life far beyond dance with their kindness, dedication, and generosity!
